Preparing your child for success in the future is our goal at First Class Learning Center. Our child care and learning programs create a strong foundation to build on starting at the critical early years. We strive to build self-esteem, spark imagination, satisfy curiosity and guide your child’s first steps toward a lifelong love for learning in a safe, nurturing environment.
First Class Learning Center is a special place for your infant (6 weeks to 18 months). Your baby will explore the world safely, under the watchful eyes of our caregivers . We spend time holding, playing and talking to our infants. We provide nap, diaper, feeding and play time according to your baby’s individual needs. Your child will receive their own personal crib, a comfortable and familiar place for your child to rest.
During the toddler years, (18 months to 2 ½ years) your child will be very energetic and curious about the world and their surroundings. They become more independent in a safe environment that fosters exploration, self-control and social skills. We focus on self-help skills that refine hand-eye coordination, fine and gross motor development and problem solving skills, while still nurturing your young child.
First Class Learning Center's Two-Year Old Classroom (2 ½ to 3 years) is designed to prepare your child for the preschool years. The program promotes verbal ability, critical thinking skills and enhanced cognitive, physical, emotional and social skills. Self discipline and control, as well as self-esteem are promoted. Basic academic concepts are introduced, such as ABC’s, 123’s, colors, shapes, months of the year and the days of the week. In addition, your child will feel a sense of accomplishment as they learn how to use the bathroom by themselves. Our teachers cater to each child’s individual needs to make potty training a positive and rewarding experience.
First Class Learning Center's Pre-K 3 and Pre-K 4 classes offer a variety of academic and creative activities to prepare your children for Kindergarten. They are provided with learning activities that emphasize language, large motor physical activity and movement. Activities include puzzles and blocks, wheel toys and climbers, dramatic play acting and story telling. Your child will be able to recognize shapes and colors and use basic math, science and problem solving skills. Some four year olds, and most five year olds combine ideas, have a growing memory and are developing fine motor skills. Although the children use language in many areas, our language and listening center is the focal point for introducing a variety of experiences that are important in preparing your child to read and write. We also provide an opportunity to develop an interest in the community and enjoy special events and trips. Field trips may include a picnic, trip to the zoo, library, farm, museum or aquarium.
